Christos Kouroutzas is an Assistant Professor of Sociology of Risk and Uncertainty at the Department of Sociology, School of Social Science, University of the Aegean. He is also an Adjunct Lecturer at the Hellenic Open University, Master of Arts “Criminological and Penal Law Perspectives on Corruption, Economic and Organized Crime”. His scientific/research interests focus on Sociology of Risk and Uncertainty, Sociology of Science and Technology, as well as Sociology of Crime and Social Control. He is National Representative of the European Group for the Study of Deviance and Social Control and a member at scientific associations i.e. Hellenic Sociological Society, Greek Society for the Study of Crime and Social Control. He is also a member of the Editorial Board and reviewer in Journals i.e. Justice, Power and Resistance Journal. He has been involved in research projects and he has a number of journal articles, book chapters/articles and monographs.
