Angeliki Athanasopoulou teaches at the Department of Social Policy, Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, Athens. She holds a graduate degree in Primary Education (Department of Primary Education, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) and a PhD degree in Social Anthropology (University of the Aegean). She completed her PhD studies with a scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation. She has participated in European research projects as well as in research projects of the Research Centre for Greek Society (Academy of Athens). Her research interests and published work, concern ethnic and collective identities, family relations, migration, social class and education.
