Paraskevi-Viviane Galata

Paraskevi-Viviane Galata, Ph.D. and Postdoc in Social Sciences, Adjunct Lecturer at the Hellenic Open University. She studied Law, Sociology and Social Research at the National University of Athens, Panteion University, Newcastle University and Université Libre de Bruxelles. She is a member of the BSA, ASA, ISA and RC28 Social Stratification and Mobility. Working in the fields of sociology of work, social stratification, and occupational mobility, she explores the social effects of crisis, skills, migration, relative deprivation, and inequality. Her publications include "The Accreditation of Vocational Qualifications and the Collective Labour Agreements", (Editions Sakkoula, 2009) and "Relative Deprivation and Occupational Mobility in Times of Crisis: The Case Studies of Migrant Workers in Greece and the United Kingdom" (Newcastle University, 2019).
