Professor Emerita Koula Kasimati has studied economics, Industrial Organization, Sociology and Statistics in Greece, the Netherlands and England. After a successful career in E.K.K.E (National Social Research Centre), she was appointed a professor in Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences in 1985. She was Head of the Department of Social Policy, a member of the senate, and currently she is Vice-President of the Society of Cytherian Studies. Her latest publications include: Smyrna, the Greater Cythera.
