Nicholas J. Theocharakis is a Professor of Political Economy and History of Economic Thought at the Dept. of Economics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He holds a B.A. from his Dept. and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Cambridge. He served as Secretary General for Fiscal Policy at the Ministry of Finance and Chairman and Scientific Director of the Centre of Planning and Economic Research (KEPE). He is the author of three books - two with Yanis Varoufakis - and many articles in scientific journals. His research interests are the History of Economic Thought and the Political Economy of Labour.
